These steps are for Bradford White water heaters that have the Icon valve (grey cover) with the Honeywell logo on the cover.

1. Press and hold round knob in the pilot position. It will depress in when you press on it.

2. Press in and release the red square igniter button below the round knob a few times while holding in the round knob. It will click when you press in and release the igniter button.

3. Keep holding round knob down and pressing the igniter button until pilot lights. You can look in the window under the cover to see if the pilot is actually lit.

4. Release knob after the status light blinks a few times.

5. Turn knob to HOT. This will start the burner. HOT is about 120 degrees. We don’t recommend turning it past B. A is approximately 130 degrees and B is approximately 140 degrees.
